Mary Magdalene Yerby Harcrow, who passed away August 22, 2016, would have turned 90 in December.

She was born December 5, 1926 to the late Zollie Martin Yerby and Mary Elizabeth Sellers Yerby in Carrollton, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Pauline Yerby Perrigin, her brothers, Edward Paul Yerby and James Cohen Yerby, a beloved granddaughter her "Angel", Mary Bethany Coleman Mapp and her high school sweetheart and husband of 58 years, Emmett McKinley Harcrow.

She was born December 5, 1926 to the late Zollie Martin Yerby and Mary Elizabeth Sellers Yerby in Carrollton, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Pauline Yerby Perrigin, her brothers, Edward Paul Yerby and James Cohen Yerby, a beloved granddaughter her "Angel", Mary Bethany Coleman Mapp and her high school sweetheart and husband of 58 years, Emmett McKinley Harcrow.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Ann Harcrow Coleman, and her husband, Jimmy Wood Coleman, Jr., of Pelham, 2 grandchildren who were her pride and joy, her "Lovey": Adriann Lane Coleman of Pelham, and her "Darling" Jimmy (Trae) Wood Coleman III of Houston, Texas.

A special heartfelt thanks to the staff of Lakeview Estates, Gentiva Hospice, and Aspire at Cahaba River. Words cannot express how much our family appreciates their loving care.

The celebration of Magdalene's life will be at 2pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Christ Church United Methodist, with burial following at Southern Heritage Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's of Central Alabama, American Heart Association, or Christ Church United Methodist.
