Colleen was a member of Shades Mountain Independent Church for over 30 years before transferring to First Baptist of Birmingham. During her days at Shades Mountain, she traveled to Israel and Curacao for mission opportunities and was a supporter of World Reach Ministries where her husband (Bob) volunteered for service in Kenya. Colleen volunteered with the Assistance League of Birmingham for over 35 years, serving as president of the local chapter twice, treasurer, helped with setting up Prime Time Treasures in its current location, served as regional council representative and worked with the National Society's Board by setting up new chapters across the country. In recent years, she was a founding board member for the Southeastern Cancer Foundation which raised money for UAB Cancer Research. Colleen will be most remembered for her love of Christ, love of family, love of friends and her love for dancing. The family would like to thank Katie Cochran of Home Instead for all of her love and support over the last many years, but, especially over the last 3 years.
